Cornard Dynamos under-12s won their Suffolk Cup second round match 3-2 against Waveney Meerkats, Alfie Haygreen scoring with a free kick in the last minute of extra time in our match of the week. They hit back from two goals down, Morgan Waldock and Ben Iannone (penalty) taking the game into extra time.

Cornard Dynamos under-13s were beaten 4-2 by Bury Town Colts in the second round of the Suffolk FA Youth Cup. Bury led at the interval and went further ahead in the second half. Cornard pulled one back with an own goal, but Bury scored twice more before Kieron Judd scored Cornard’s second.

Hadleigh United under-13s fought back from 3-0 down, but were beaten 3-2 by South Suffolk Youth league leaders Felixstowe. Goalscorers were Kieran Pooley and Curtis Harvey.

AFC Sudbury under-10s beat Needham Market 8-2, the visitors taking an early lead. Sudbury made it 7-1 before Needham’s second goal. Goals came from Billy East 4, Callum Deveraux 2, Sam Parsons, Charlie Coot.

n Four schools have qualified for the area finals of an under-11s competition, which will be held at Colchester United’s Community Stadium on Thursday, December 17. They are: St Gregory’s and St Joseph’s from Sudbury, Acton Primary and Boxford.
