Cornard United will have to wait until December 1 to find out if they will be hit with a £500 fine by the Thurlow Nunn League after they were locked out of their council-owned ground at Blackhouse Lane.

The First Division club were unable to stage their fixture with Team Bury on November 2 after Great Cornard Parish Council said it no longer had a tenant after Chris Symes dissolved the limited company after a row over the terms of a new lease.

Cornard, who have been told they can use the ground for matches, subject to approval by the councillors, travel to Haverhill Borough in the Suffolk Senior Cup second round on Saturday (3pm) for their first match in three weeks.
