David Batch has added former Nottingham Forest trainee striker Wesley Hause to his squad.

The target man had not played for two years due to a serious knee injury before turning out for the Yellows in their pre-season friendly with Hadleigh United last Tuesday.

But the player who also had a spell with Wycombe Wanderers man made enough of an impact in an eye-catching performance to convince AFC boss Batch to sign him up.

Since being released from Forest, the player in his early 20s has also played non-League football with several Essex clubs, including Waltham Forest and Ilford.

After missing Saturday’s friendly win over Bury Town with injury, Hause is set to be involved when Norwich City Academy visit The Wardale Williams Stadium on Thursday (7.30pm).
