AFC Sudbury - Yellows made to rue missed chances

AFC Sudbury missed the opportunity to move into the top four on Wednesday night as they drew 1-1 at Ilford.

The Yellows took a 1-0 lead into the break after defender Bradley Thomas headed home a free-kick 25 minutes in for his first goal for the club.

But Chris Tracey’s side were made to pay for squandering a number of chances with the hosts equalising in the 69th minute, with neither side able to fashion a winner.

Meanwhile, AFC Sudbury’s under-18s progressed in the FA Youth Cup with a 3-2 win at Newmarket Town.
