AFC Sudbury will host Colchester United in a pre-season friendly this summer.

The Yellows welcome the Sky Bet League Two club to the Wardale Williams Stadium next month as part of their pre-season preparations.

John McGreal is expected to bring his first team squad for the friendly against the Ryman League Division One North champions, which is scheduled for Saturday, July 16 (3pm).

Before hosting the U’s, Jamie Godbold’s men will host Histon for their first pre-season friendly on Friday, July 8 (7.45pm).

Royston Town visit the Wardale Williams Stadium on Saturday, July 23 (3pm), before the Yellows test themselves with trips to Brightlingsea Regent (July 30), Bishop’s Stortford (August 2) and Heybridge Swifts (August 6).

AFC will then begin their first-ever season in the Ryman League Premier Division on Saturday, August 13.
