A Waterlogged pitch at Spa Road has forced AFC Sudbury’s Robert Dyas Ryman League Cup quarter-final tie against Witham Town tonight (Tuesday) to be postponed.
The announcement was made by AFC Sudbury on Twitter this afternoon.
New manager Jamie Godbold and his assistant Andy Reynolds were due to have a watching brief at the game, with newly-appointed director of football Danny Laws — who has been in caretaker charge following David Batch’s move to St Neots Town — set to remain in charge for one last game.
AFC won 1-0 at Cheshunt in the league on Saturday to move them into a play-off place (fifth).
The Yellows’ next scheduled game will be at home to Maldon and Tiptree on Saturday (3pm) where they will be looking for their third straight win, having beaten Soham Town Rangers at the Wardale Williams Stadium last Tuesday.
