AFC Sudbury Ladies to make history

AFC Sudbury Ladies will make history on Sunday when they play their first ever game in the FA Women’s Cup.

Clive Goulding’s side take on Colchester Town on the main pitch at King’s Marsh (2pm) in the preliminary round of the competition.

The East Region Women’s Football League Division One North side will be hoping to continue their blistering form which has seen them score 25 times with none against over their first three games.

AFC thrashed Norwich City Reserves 7-0 at home on Sunday, following up an 11-0 win over FC Clacton and a 7-0 win over Acle United.

Entry to the match against Colchester, who play a league higher in the East Region Premier Division, is free with the bar and kitchen open.

The sides drew 2-2 in a pre-season friendly back on August 5.
