AFC Sudbury - Danny Gay leaves for hometown club

AFC Sudbury goalkeeper Danny Gay has signed for Evo-Stick Northern League outfit King’s Lynn Town.

The former Southend United shot stopper had played in every competitive game for AFC since signing from Needham Market ahead of the 2011/12 campaign, including Wednesday night’s 1-1 draw at Ilford.

Sudbury’s only current goalkeeper left at the club is manager Chris Tracey’s teenage son Ben Tracey, who was thrown into the fold in the 6-1 pre-season friendly defeat to Ipswich Town with Flyod Croll having guested with Gay on holiday only to go off injured at half-time.
