Cambridge United loannee Ryan Horne scored on his debut at Harlow Town as AFC Sudbury comfortably booked their place in the Robert Dyas Ryman League Cup semi-finals.

After the Ryman One North sides went into the break at 0-0 on the artificial pitch at Barrows Farm, AFC took the lead through a Ryan Henshaw headed goal from a corner.

The Suffolk side’s lead was extended through Ben Thompson following another flag kick.

Horne, the youth team captain at Cambridge United who joined the club on Friday on a one-month loan, scored in between Harlow pulling a goal back.

Jamie Forshaw, in only his second appearance back after a long knee-injury lay-off, hit the fourth to cap a great night for David Batch’s side.
