AFC clinch victory while Hadleigh book place in FA Vase quarter-final

AFC Sudbury bounced back to winning ways on Saturday with a 2-1 win away at struggling Ware.

Leon Antoine and James Baker struck the decisive goals, six minutes apart after the 73rd minute to gift the Yellows their first win in four matches in Ryman League Division One North.

Elsewhere, Hadleigh United took a step closer to a Wembely final appearance, after clinching a quarter-final place in the FA Vase.

A goal in each half from James Evans and Marcus Josiah secured a 2-1 success away at Ampthill Town to ease Stuart Crawford’s side into the next round.

Meanwhile, Ipswich Town slumped to a 1-0 defeat away at Blackburn Rovers after goalkeeper Stephen Henderson’s unfortunate own-goal to leave the Tractor Boys just one point above the relegation zone in the npower Championship.
