Sudbury Cricket Club have not received a reprieve from relegation and will play in Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Championship Division One this summer.

The East Anglian Premier League met on Thursday to discuss Clacton’s resignation from the top flight of club cricket in the east of England.

There will be 11 teams in the EAPL this season — and no relegation — and Sudbury will play their Two Counties Division One fixtures as previously announced.

Clacton will take over their second team’s fixtures in Division Four.
