CORNARD United were comfortable winners of Tuesday's FA Cup preliminary round replay at Blackhouse Lane, but victory came at a cost.
Jason Carter, who scored two goals in the first half, suffered a broken wrist after an awkward fall in the second half, and will be out for up to six weeks.

And Craig Springett, who put Cornard 3-0 up in the second half, was sent off just before the end after a strong tackle had produced a clash. He faces a six-week ban for an alleged head butt.

To add to manager Chris Symes' problems, Harwich have put in a seven-day approach for Ben Warren, with the player likely to move to the Royal Oak.

Carter, who joined Cornard from Stanway Rovers Reserves, struck twice in the first-half of a game which Symes described as "our best performance of the season".

In the second half, skipper Simon Hyde made a surging run before releasing Springett to put Cornard out of reach.

In the first game on Saturday, Matt Buckle gave Wanderers a first-half lead at Humber Doucy Lane, with Hyde replying from the spot after Ben Lawson had been brought down.
