Boxford's Suffolk Primary Cup debut was a memorable one, a thrashing of Hundon in the first round.

Rovers, unbeaten in the six previous matches, looked assured in the final third. Ben Patrick, in the centre of midfield, was especially prolific and Hundon simply had no reply. His well-worked through balls unleashed both his brother Matt and an in-form Tim Kerr who quickly opened the scoring.

Hundon will count themselves unlucky not to have drawn level when the ball clearly crossed the line behind Rovers 'keeper Andy Mackie, but the referee was unsighted.

From then on it was a downward spiral. Kerr grabbed a brace, Matt Patrick a hat-trick and Dom Emery towered over the flimsy Hundon defence to head home.

Further goals from Kerr, James Elkin and Ben Patrick rubbed Hundon's noses in it. The home side did manage an extraordinary consolation when their tireless striker dived full-length to beat Mackie.

Rovers visit Bildeston Rangers in the next round on October 25.
