GOALS from Ben Lawson and Harry Schofield earned Cornard United a point in Tuesday night's Ridgeons League division one derby draw at Blackhouse Lane, after they had twice been ahead.
Lawson had a goal ruled out for offside in the fifth minute, but got on the end of Schofield's 15th-minute cross to score with a diving header. King equalised after 33 minutes.

Cornard regained the lead on the hour when Schofield found room on the left to crash home a shot. But Stowmarket levelled again ten minutes from time through Bartholomew.

Jason Carter came on for the last 15 minutes. He has been out with hamstring problems, but is expected to start Cornard's FA Cup preliminary round tie at Ipswich Wanderers on Saturday.

Manager Chris Symes is hoping to see Cornard's run of four games without defeat – they won 2-0 at Fakenham on Saturday with a makeshift side – extended.

"We had players unavailable on Saturday," he said, "but we are in better shape than last season."
