Nicky Smith has been appointed as AFC Sudbury manager.
And Chris Tracey has resigned from the position of first team manager at Stanway Rovers and taken the assistant manager's role at AFC Sudbury.
A statement from the directors said: "After interviewing some exceptional candidates, a combination of N
ick's enthusiasm, experience and ambition were the contributing factors.
"We look forward to continue working with him and have no doubt that both the players and supporters look forward to his appointment and future success with the club."
Smith, who was assistant to Mark Morsley last season, was pleased to get his former AFC and Sudbury Town teammate on board.
"It was a hard decision for Chris but his heart is at King's Marsh and I will be glad to have his experience to lean on in what will be a tough period for both of us, and the club.
"I think we will do alright and I'm looking forward to the challenge. I will be speaking to the players this week and am hopeful that many will stay with us, as well as using my contacts to get others to the club".
Meanwhile, AFC have expressed "extreme disappointment" in the decision by the FA Leagues Committee, in consultation with the Ryman League, to move AFC to the Southern League Midland Division.
Directors called the lack of consultation "totally unacceptable".
They cite logistical and financial problems with the move, because of the longer distances to travel to matches, "a massive impact" on long-term plans and "irreconcilable issues" over next season's preparations.
What do you think? Is Nicky Smith the right man to replace Mark Morsley? Are you angry about the move to the Southern League?
