Jenny Spencer, from Sudbury Rowing Club, attended the Great Britain Junior Early Identification Trials at Boston in Lincolnshire on Saturday.
Racing over the five kilometre course in a single scull, she was entered in the Women's Junior 16 section.

Although cold, the conditions were good with a gentle tail wind. Jenny did well, overtaking another sculler, and finished in a time of 22:07.2.

This gave her third place in Junior 16, but even more impressively she was nineteenth overall in the next age group at Women's Junior.

She finished 6.6 seconds off the winner of Junior 16, and one minute 11.5 seconds off the winner of Junior.   Eighty-two girls completed the course overall.

This is a very good result for Jenny, who is coached by Antony Moule.
