AT last! Fourteen weeks into the cycling season the club was finally able to run a time trial on the 14-mile Hitcham Hilly course after roadworks were completed in Monks Eleigh.
The course is one of the four which the combined times are used to compete for Peter Whitely trophy.

Winner on the night was Rob Davies in a personal best time of 33 minutes 39 seconds, followed home by Rob Harman 34.02, and James Rush 34.38.
This is also the order they stand in the Peter Whitely trophy, with Davies on a combined time of 1hr 36min 36sec, Harman 1.37.23 and Rush 1.38.45.

With six rides remaining, and all courses to be raced at least once, there is plenty of opportunity for the lead to change hands.

That is probably not the case in the points series where John Steed posted another massive improvement of 277 points, taking him way out in the lead with 888 points.

Steve Barnes remains in second on 557, and third is Alan Russell, who improved by 224 points on the night. Terry Law continues in his rich vein of form with another personal best.

Many club members were in action on the 200km Audax in Norfolk, in the Greater Garboldisham Grovel which takes in Nelson's birthplace, Burnham Thorpe, Castle Hare and Wells next the sea.

Brian Mann and Alan Russell spent approximately nine hours on the road, and Robin Weavers, David Fenn, Andy and George Hoppit around nine and a half hours.

Tonight sees the club championship, which is being run on the Lavenham 10 course.
