Cycle Club Sudbury launched a new time-trial circuit on Thursday running from Lavenham down Melford Road to the junction with Bull Lane and back up the hill to Lavenham, a circuit of eight miles.
The riders all reported that it was a good, safe course, well marshalled, and very demanding to ride quickly.

First on the night and the new course record holder was Stowmarket rider Adrian Pettit with a time of 19 minutes 57 seconds. Sudbury riders came second, third and fifth, Rob Davies followed by Doz Bree and James Rush with times of 20:19, 20:22 and 20:30 respectively.

Today's race is the Hitcham Hilly, which is 15-mile circuit from Lavenham going out to Bildeston and back. The race starts at 7pm and all riders are welcome. Entry is £2 on the line.
