Value of People's Park

I would like to offer my support to the people's Park Preservation Association by describing the value and personal meaning of People's Park in Sudbury from my own perspective.
I grew up in Sudbury and attended Uplands Middle School and Sudbury Upper School, walking to and from school every day across People's Park for about eight years. This was a pleasant and safe journey and, after school, my friends and I frequently stopped and played in People's Park.
During my childhood I developed an interest in entomology and used People's Park as a collecting site for beetles, particularly dung beetles. This early interest in biology developed further and after studying biology in London has led to a career in the pharmaceutical industry, where I have developed and launched several successful cancer drugs.
In summary, based on my own personal experience, I believe that People's Park should remain as a park for the people of Sudbury because it provides significant recreational and educational value and enhances the overall quality of life of living in Sudbury.
