Slab of trouble

I don't know who is responsible for the idiotic and monstrous works to the paved area outside the town hall but whoever it is should be made to go and stand in the corner somewhere and keep on repeating: "I must not keep on wasting ratepayers' money on hideous surfaces to pavements."
Not long ago, all of the area and that of North Street were re-paved at some great expense to the council tax payers and now they are digging it up again and repaving some of it. The deplorable work is the big scar of Tarmac in the middle of it which will no doubt be later replaced by slabs.

Guess who will be paying for this wasted work? You're right – me and you. This shouldn't be the case. The officer or councillor responsible for this should be made to pay for this out of their own private pockets and not the ratepayer.
I think I speak for a large number of Sudbury people who say: "enough is enough". We are fed up with them constantly digging up our roads and pavements, trying to change things around – we like Sudbury as it is. I would like to remind councils that they are guardians and do not own Sudbury – we do!
