I READ with dismay in last week's Free Press of the decision to allocate two newly-built homes to an unmarried couple … Have they gone raving mad?
What has happened to our traditional values of doing things in the correct order, ie wedding, then home, then children?
I am sure there are more deserving married couples on the housing waiting list who are not merely girlfriend and boyfriend.
But what else can we expect from a society who gives handouts to single mothers who have got themselves pregnant and have not thought through the consequences?
