I would like to alert your readers to the draft proposals for unitary local government in Norfolk and Suffolk, which are currently being administered by the Boundary Committee.
This is a very important and complex issue which would take columns of your newspaper to explain as there are several options currently under consideration by county, district, town and parish councils throughout Suffolk. The general public have the opportunity to express their views, hence I urge people to make representations to the Boundary Committee by September 26.

The online contact is www.boundarycommittee.org.uk, or you can email reviews@boundary committee.org.uk

Alternatively, there is a copy of the draft proposals, comprising all 69 pages and maps, available for inspection at Sudbury Town Hall.

Whatever the outcome, it will result in a massive change to the way we manage local affairs throughout Suffolk in the future.
