AS a junior member of Sudbury Rowing Club, I am writing to tell you about how annoyed I am at the amount of litter around the Friars Meadow area.
Many people are dumping cans, bottles, plastic bags and many other types of rubbish on the grass, but mainly in the river. This is then a hazard to the various boat users and also the wildlife that live around the river.

On Sunday evening while out walking with my family along the riverbank, I was angry to see that someone had thrown one of the life-saving aids into the river. These aids are there to help people who may need assistance if they fall in or capsize.
