Three more of Sudbury's favourite shop assistants have been nominated for the Free Press At Your Service Award.
We have been asking you to nominate your super-server, the person who goes that extra mile to make your trip to Sudbury a pleasurable experience.

Our first three nominations – Caroline Merry from Thing Me Bobs, Alan Marshall from Kandy Kiosk and WH Smith's Marion Tredant – were unveiled last week.

And today we reveal our second trio of nominations: Emma Amos from Bon Marché; Julie Last, who works at Boots' Make-Up counter and Maureen Henderson from Netta's dry cleaners.

Twenty-seven-year-old Mrs Amos has been the store manager at Bon Marché, in North Street, since it opened in 2004.

She was nominated by Doreen Ashdown, of Park Close, Sudbury, who said: "She makes my day. I love to visit the shop. She will even help to choose or advise on what to wear for occasions.

"Doreen is such a happy person and nothing is too much trouble."

Mrs Amos said: "It is absolutely fantastic. You always aim to provide the best customer service you can, to be helpful and friendly and it's nice to hear someone thinks you are doing that."

Also singled out for tremendous customer service is Mrs Last, 42, who for the past 28 years has been pampering customers at the make-up counter in Boots.

She said: "It is really nice to hear that someone has nominated me. I love my job and love being able to work with people. I'm proud that someone has thought to vote for me."

Nominator Frances Bates said: "Julie always looks the part, she is very knowledgeable about beauty products and always helpful and pleasant to customers.

"She is obviously very interested in beauty products and spreads her enthusiasm. She is always patient and polite. She is a credit to Boots and to Sudbury."

Our final nomination is Mrs Henderson, who has worked at Netta's, in Great Eastern Road, for the past four years.

Nominator Susan Clark, of Kings Meadow, Sudbury, who said: "She gave me many free coat-hangers free of charge and the following week looked so pleased to have competed my cleaning in just a few hours. I have just moved here and to her I am just a stranger. She provides is really nice service."

Mrs Henderson, 57, said: "It's good to think that someone has nominated me. I enjoy my job, and coming in to chat to the customers."

The deadline for entries for our At Your Service competition is today.
