IT’S Saturday evening and dark. I have just driven through Sudbury and seen the lights. They are very pretty for some occasions but for Christmas ... No!
There is absolutely nothing Christmassy about them - the traffic lights are more festive!
We used to have lovely red, green and gold lights and a beautiful tree at the bottom of the Market Hill adorned in lovely colourful Christmassy lights.
Didn’t even see the tree this evening, I am told it is in the Old Market Place. Why? It cannot be seen as you drive through town. People must think we have not got one!
Can anyone explain why Christmas has suddenly gone blue and silver?
