Traffic problems remain unresolved

SINCE I moved to Sudbury 23 years ago, there have always been traffic problems, and I have wondered whether the council actually cares to try to sort these out?

Traffic coming from the Melford side has to go round the church and Market Hill to go to the Ballingdon end, Halstead and beyond.

Living on the dream of a western bypass happening tomorrow just leaves the problem unsolved. The western bypass hasn’t happened despite being on the cards for decades now.

So why not open up the end of North Street (which might help the shops up there), make the road in front of the fire station two-way again and basically get passing traffic away from the shopping centre of the town?

I also suggest that an access to Roys car park from Cornard Road be opened up beside the learning centre. It could have a speed hump on it.
