ON doing some recent research I discovered that Sudbury and Great Cornard have a population of about 21,000.
Yet in relation to the size of the town I believe that we have a very bad bus service.
It is good on a week day but what about the weekends?
There is no service, for instance, on a Sunday, with no connection, except by costly and lengthy train journeys, to Ipswich or Bury St Edmunds, and yet there are many towns, half the size of Sudbury, some even smaller, that have a regular bus service operating on Sundays.
It is time that this was addressed as Sudbury and Cornard are not getting smaller, instead they are expanding rapidly.
