SUDBURY and District Mencap Society wishes to record its grateful thanks to all those who gave so generously for our Christmas collections outside Sudbury Town Hall on Saturday, December 17 and 24.
These two collections, operated under street collection permits granted by Babergh District Council, raised £352.29. In addition, the collection in Roys superstore on Saturday, December 10, added another £154.91 to our Christmas fundraising efforts, making a grand total of £507.21.
All money raised from these collections, and from other fundraising efforts during the year, are used to support local people with learning disabilities.
This Christmas we helped fund festive celebrations for the Resource Centre, the Bridge Project, Sudbury Gateway Club and also provided hampers of groceries and seasonal treats for four families and three individuals living independently in the community.
Throughout the year we continue to subsidise transport costs for the Gateway Club and meet the costs of venue hire for the group.
If anyone would like to help our small group, either by organising a fundraising event or supporting events we organise, please contact me on email@example.com.
