How long will this moaning and whining about our market town continue? Personally speaking, I love Sudbury. I have lived in the area for 46 years.

I shop exclusively in the town centre, except for a slight digression on the one-way system to my favourite supermarket.

I support all the shops and the excellent market. I am able to buy everything I need. We even have a department store.

Culturally, Sudbury is vibrant. We have Gainsborough’s House, The Quay Theatre, St Peter’s, the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra, the Choral Society, the Stour Valley Singers, the Sudbury Festival of Performing Arts and the U3A.

We have excellent historians, successful charities and public houses selling locally-brewed real ales.

We have sporting facilities and a network of footpaths leading from the town centre into beautiful countryside.

My four grown-up children have all settled, and work, in the area, and they love it too.
