After my letter regarding the lights being on 24/7 at Sudbury bus station (Free Press, December 5), Bradley Smith, the town’s community warden, contacted me saying he would take up the matter for me, and within five days the lights went out, achieving what Suffolk County Council couldn’t in three months.
On another matter, I know some people are saying that the Christmas lights in Sudbury don’t seem as good as in past years, but our town hall looks fantastic, really impressive.
Also, the Christmas tree is one of the best we have had for years, albeit still in the wrong place.
Market Hill is too wide to string lights across but the tree at the bottom always made it for me and I am sure many others (next year perhaps, Sue?).
Anyway, well done Bradley and all those responsible for showing off our grand old town hall – you’ve done good.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year one and all.
