Our economy is flatlining

INTERESTING to read last week that, according to Tim Yeo, Sudbury people aren’t worried by recession.

One possible explanation for the lack of an upsurge of people visiting our local MP’s surgery compared to the early 1990s is that the economy is not currently in recession - it’s flatlining.

It has failed to grow at the unrealistic rate the Chancellor of the Exchequer claimed it would when he decided to inflict growth-killing austerity measures hitting everyone but the bankers.
