Luke Cresswell has raised an issue recently regarding traffic problems in Sudbury, which seems to have ruffled a few councillors’ feathers and they have been quick to reply.

The thing is, they seem to be missing the point entirely. In their attempts to justify their position, they explain to us in great detail how they are aware of the problems and how one council has referred the issue to another council, which has passed it on to some committee or other, which has formed a working group, which has employed consultants, who have written a business plan, which has been added to another plan, that has been referred back to the committee, which has referred it back to the council to be put on the agenda of the next meeting.

The point that I think Luke was raising, and I think most people would probably agree with, is that we would very much like to see a little less talking and a bit more action before Sudbury just becomes one big pedestrian crossing car park.
