Finger-pointing not necessary

SURELY the demise of Sudbury Athletic has more to do with the way the club has been run, rather than the manager leaving (Free Press, December 8).

If a club with a 70 year history can’t cope with one man going onto a new challenge perhaps the board should take a long look at themselves.

I agree some players play for the manager rather the club but this does not excuse the finger pointing.

Mr Mumford has shown great loyalty to Sudbury Athletic over the years so a little more respect is due to him.

No one man should be bigger than the club, this is true from Premier League down to Sunday football.
