REFERRING to D G Kirkman’s letter (Free Press, December 15), perhaps I may add a pedestrian’s point of view.
When I, and many others, attempt to cross the road between Roys and Waitrose it can be very difficult to do so safely.
Cars turning into the station/Waitrose road seem to think is is unnecessary to slow down, and sweep round at speed.
There is a need for some sort of safe crossing at this point especially as most people on foot are elderly.
I, too, am a car driver I might add.
