Councillors silent too long

I think the answers that have been given in reply to Luke Cresswell’s letter are nothing new. To say councillors are silent is somewhat of an understatement.

We are talking about something which has been going on for 20 years or more.

Two or three years ago in a national newspaper, out of Norfolk, Essex and Suffolk, Sudbury was the worst town for traffic.

Six months ago, I read that Woodbridge was getting £8million and Ipswich £6/7million.

I don’t quite see what good it will do to walk down North Street to Market Hill to get action, Mr Barrett. And we cannot forget the £60,000 spent on laying two humps in the road by the church to slow down traffic. I was born in Sudbury, Mr Barrett, and I will retire to Sudbury next year. I also travel to Sudbury three times a week.
