YOUNGSTERS at a Sudbury nursery waved goodbye to the end of term in style with a beach party.
About 60 children at St Gregory’s Nursery in Church Street joined in the seaside-themed celebrations on Friday.
Nursery teacher Laura Hemingway said the day was a great way for the children to prepare for the move up to reception class later in the year and enjoy some beach fun.
“We had both nursery and reception children, so it was good for those who will be moving up to start integrating,” said the 26-year-old.
“It was a very traditional beach party and the children particularly loved the Punch and Judy show.
“They were all very excited and had lots of fun.”
Laura, who has been at the nursery since April, added that other activities which took place on the day included party games, sand castle building and paddling.
