Five members of a family from Glemsford will take on the Race for Life in memory of a Lavenham woman who died last year.

Vona Byford died in November aged 71 and now her daughters-in-law Shelly and Roe Byford and granddaughters Natasha, Danielle, Laura and Bekah have decided to raise money in her memory, dubbing themselves Vona’s Angels.

The group, who all live in Glemsford, have already raised £587.

Mrs Byford’s son Bill said: “They’ve raised a superb amount – lots of people have been very generous.”
