A poppy bazaar – organised by the women’s section of the Royal British Legion – raised £753.79.
The annual event held in Long Melford on Saturday was a success, with homemade cakes, toys and a tombola.
One of the organisers, Maureen Stiff, said: “I can’t believe we raised so much. We are most grateful to everyone who supported us.”
Maureen was helped on the day by Mary Murkin, Edna Ellis and Vi Nuttall.
