A woman was taken to hospital with head injuries following a car crash in Alpheton.
Emergency services were called to the collision involving three cars in Old Bury Road at around 3.10pm yesterday.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said the woman, who is in her 30s, had suffered a “potentially traumatic” head injury. She was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge by land ambulance with an air ambulance escort.
A second person was taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds with non-life threatening injuries.
A spokesman for Suffolk Police said the injured woman was driving a Golf and a Vauxhall and another Golf were also involved in the crash.
It was later revealed that the woman’s injuries were no longer considered life threatening.
The road was closed until 8.15pm.
