A WOMAN who was airlifted to hospital after falling from a horse has turned her attentions to fundraising for the charity that helped her.

Kimberley Morton, from Polstead, fractured her spine after falling in the accident in October 2009. She was taken to hospital by an East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Now fully recovered, the 23-year-old has taken on a fundraising role for the charity, which operates two helicopters covering Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.

“After my accident, I want to do my bit to help,” she said.

“I don’t know what would have happened if it wasn’t for the air ambulance – the charity is so important to so many people.”

A casino night fundraiser will be held in aid of the charity at Stoke-by-Nayland Hotel on October 21. Tickets cost £20 and the event starts at 8pm.
