The future of a village hall is looking desperate as it continues to struggle to find new committee members.

Foxearth Village Hall needs volunteers to come forward after three trustees resigned after 13 years of service, which included overseeing the complete refurbishment of the hall.

Chairman Roger Messer and bookings secretary Mary Waite are leaving at the end of February, while former treasurer David Busby has already stepped down.

Under the trust’s deed, four committee members are required, with the departures leaving only three.

Committee secretary Angela Pacey described the situation as desperate.

“A lot of people just sit back and think other people will come forward,” she said.
