A VINTAGE rally provided the perfect Father’s Day treat for dads – and the rest of the family – over the weekend.

Steam engines, tractors, classic cars and a host of stalls proved a hit with visitors attending the annual Great Waldingfield Vintage Rally on Saturday and Sunday.

The event, held at Waldingfield airfield and organised by Monks Eleigh Bygone Collectors Club (MEBCC), was run in aid of Lupus UK, a charity supporting people with the illness.

Treasurer of the club, John Walker, said that a good time was had by all.

“Both days were very well attended, with Sunday especially busy being Father’s Day.

“There was plenty for everyone to see and do with dog and fire brigade demonstrations and it looks like we will have made a profit, so there will be money going to an excellent cause.”

The MEBCC has been running for 26 years and has more than 100 members.
