A VILLAGE carnival featuring more than 500 vintage vehicles and a fun fair will take place later this month.
The Lavenham Carnival and Rare Breeds Motor Show will be held at the village’s Recreation Ground on Monday, August 29.
Dating back to the 1960s, the event, which raises money for the Lavenham Community Council, includes stalls, archery and a parade ring.
Organiser Martin Weaver, who has been involved with the carnival for 12 years, said: “Everything is progressing well and I think we are prepared.
“There is always a good atmosphere at the carnival. The cars we have on show are brilliant and will hopefully attract lots of people.”
The carnival will start at midday and run until 5pm. Tickets cost £5 for adults and under-12s go free.
