Great Cornard will be able to enjoy a village fete once more after the organising committee recruited new members.
The community association, chaired by parish councillor Tom Keane, was struggling and this summer’s fete had to be cancelled due to a lack of support.
Mr Keane said he was “very pleased” at the return of the event, which will be held on July 4.
“Hopefully, we will have a good fete, which will be the start of things to come,” said Mr Keane.
“We had a couple of people come forward and we may be getting a few more. Things seem to be going in the right direction, however, we would always welcome more new members.”
