SILK workers at a Sudbury factory found themselves starring in fashion guru Gok Wan’s TV show last week.
Vanners Silks featured in Gok’s Clothes Roadshow on Channel 4 after a visit from co-presenter Brix Smith-Start.
The style expert, who promotes high-end fashions in the show’s weekly designer-versus-high street battle, came to Sudbury to find out how silk fabric is made.
“She spent a day here filming,” said Vanners managing director Rick Stevenson.
“We thought the programme was very good. Our slot lasted several minutes and quite a few of our employees were featured.
“Brix was very excited and passionate about what she was looking at, and they managed to get quite a lot of the flavour or what we are about.”
