Artists are being asked to create a piece of work for Sudbury’s new health centre – with a £5,000 top prize up for grabs.

The atrium wall inside the centre – currently being built in Church Field Road – is to be set aside for the piece, which should tell a story of the area.

Anne Nicholls, chairman of the Sudbury and Locality Implementation Group, said: “I am looking forward to seeing what artists have to offer for this important space which will last as a legacy to the people of Sudbury and its surrounding communities.”

A £5,000 prize will be awarded to the winner, with a second prize of £2,000 and a third of £1,000.

Entries are invited from artists – professional or amateur – living within 30 miles of Sudbury by December 20. For more information, email comms@suffolk.nhs.uk.
