Recommendations for the relocation of Sudbury bus station will be presented at Sudbury Town Hall tomorrow.

The Sudbury Steering Group meeting starts at 4pm, and will see members discuss proposals to relocate the bus station from its current location in order to redevelop the Hamilton Road Quarter.

Members will receive an options presentation from Suffolk County Council, with members expected to give a recommendation on their preferred option.

In September members opted to ask for further research into two options.

The first would see the station split with hubs in Girling Street and Great Eastern Road. The other would be solely in Girling Street.

Both have come under criticism from residents and bus users, with issues of connections between the stations, pollution and loss of parking.

But members say it is essential a new location is found to allow for the current station’s redevelopment.
