The winner of a competition to design an official Christmas card for Sudbury’s mayor is to see his handiwork sent to the Queen.

Toby Bullock, who attends Long Melford Primary School, designed a penguin with an igloo and a fish with a hat.

The eight-year-old’s card will be printed at Delta Print on Tuesday and sent out by mayor Adrian Osborne to civic contacts, including the Queen.

“The card always goes to the Queen and we always get a reply,” said Mr Osborne. “The standard was very high, but this design was just a fraction above the rest.”

Six schools entered.
