Teenagers arrested on suspicion of arson at Great Cornard flat

Three teenagers have been arrested following an incident of arson at a flat in Great Cornard last week.

The fire was discovered at 9.20am on Tuesday, January 12, at an address in Queensway.

The blaze is believed to have started at the ground floor entrance to a first floor flat, spreading up the stairwell. No one was harmed as a result of the fire.

A 19-year-old woman, 19-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl - all from the Sudbury area - were arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to danger life and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Station for questioning.

All three have been released on bail until Friday, February 26, pending further enquires.
