A 16-year-old boy was left with swelling to his eye following an attempted robbery in Glemsford.

The teenager was walking in Schoolfield at 10.40pm on Monday when two men demanded he hand over his wallet. The men then assaulted the boy, who ran off. His wallet was not taken.

The first man is described as white, in his late-20s, about 6ft tall, of medium build and with long, swept back, auburn-coloured hair and a short beard. He was wearing a black vest, tracksuit bottoms and trainers.

The second man is described as white, of similar age, larger build, with black hair and a thin beard. He was wearing a black vest and tracksuit bottoms.
